Online gaming operator, In Touch Games, have had their three UK licences suspended by the UK Gambling Commission who stated that the company may be “unsuitable” to carry out licenced activities.
The UKGC flagged several areas of In Touch Games operations which included concerns over fair & transparent terms and practices, reporting key events and money laundering.
The suspension is effective immediately which has resulted in UK customers of In Touch Games brands being given a deadline to withdraw their funds before they cease operations.
In Touch Games brands which are affected include:
The Gambling Commission stated:
“We have made it clear to the operator that during the course of the suspension we expect it to focus on treating consumers fairly and keeping them fully informed of any developments which impact them,”
“The suspension does not prevent the operator from allowing consumers to access their accounts and withdrawing funds. In Touch Games can be contacted through its websites.”
The suspension of the company’s UK licences follows a hefty £6,100,000 fine that was handed to In Touch Games in January of this year for a series of failures regarding social responsibility and money laundering.
The fine was given following an assessment which took place in March 2022 in which IGT failed.
The company reportedly accepted the word of a player that they earned £6k per month but failed to follow up and check the information.
In Touch also took seven weeks to interact with a customer after they were flagged for erratic play patterns and extended periods of play.
Following the suspension of IGT’s British licences, registered customers will no longer be able to access any of the casino games, or make any further deposits.
In Touch Games have said that they will attempt to return the outstanding balances held by registered customers and have given deadlines for withdrawal requests to be made.
The deadline for British customers to withdraw their funds from In Touch Games casinos which include BonusBoss, mFortune, Casino2020, DrSlot, JammyMonkey, Cashmo, MrSpin, PocketWin and SlotFactory, is 6th March 2024.
After the deadline of 6th March 2024 has passed, customers will no longer be able to access their accounts via the casino’s websites or apps.
In emails sent to registered customers, In Touch Games said:
“If you have any outstanding balance on your account, we will attempt to return these to your registered payment methods,”
“However, where this [is] not possible (for example, where the payment method has expired), we encourage you to access your account to request a withdrawal.
“Please be assured that your outstanding balance will remain protected until these are returned to you.”
