Bet365’s survey highlights the UK’s perspectives on who they believe is most likely to win Euro 2024, alongside betting data that uncovers some interesting insights. Here are the statistics on the top 5 favoured teams:

• England: Favoured by 40% of respondents and 17.7% of bets, with 7/2 odds.
• France: Backed by 19% of participants and 16.6% of bets, with 4/1 odds.
• Germany: Supported by 12% of voters and 13.6% of bets, with 11/2 odds.
• Spain: Chosen by 8% of respondents and 8.9% of bets, with 15/2 odds.
• Portugal: Selected by 5% of respondents but received 12.7% of bets, with 7/1 odds.

The survey and betting figures suggest that fans are confident England will learn from their Euro 2020 disappointing final and will bring football home once again. Another interesting factor about these stats is the gap between the percentage of respondents that favoured England to win (40%) and the percentage of punters that placed a wager on them (17.7%). Bet365’s survey also shines a light on who fans think will be the standout players during Euro 2024:

• Player of the Tournament: Jude Bellingham leads with 20% of votes and 7.6% of bets at 9/1 odds. A close second is Kylian Mbappé with 16% of votes and 15.2% of bets at 7/1 odds.

Jude Bellingham is the clear favourite to win player of the tournament amongst the fans, yet double the amount of punters have backed Kylian Mbappé at lower odds. This is the second time we’ve seen a high percentage of votes backing England, in this case an English player. On the contrary, far less punters are placing bets on them to win, suggesting English fans could be biased and slightly overconfident.

Most Assists and Young Player of the Tournament

• Most Assists: Bruno Fernandes leads with 19.9% of bets at 12/1 odds, followed by Antoine Griezmann and Kevin de Bruyne.
• Young Player of the Tournament: Lamine Yamal is the favourite with 19.3% of bets at 7/1 odds, closely followed by Florian Wirtz and Cole Palmer.
