Betdaq was founded in 2000, the same year that rival exchange Betfair Exchange hit the scene and although they haven’t grown to the scale that Betfair has, they are a trusted and extremely popular betting exchange for customers worldwide. In the Betdaq review, we’ll be looking at the pros and cons of the service and whether it’s worth placing your bets with Betdaq over a standard bookmaker or different betting exchange.

Sports & Betting Markets
One of the advantages of betting with betting exchanges is that you generally get better odds compared to when betting with a bookmaker. As you are betting against other people and not the bookmaker, there is no overround, meaning that you are offered truer odds. This is the case with Betdaq and so it’s likely you’ll get more value in your bets than with standard bookmakers.
As there is no bookmaker overround, Betdaq make money by charging a commission. Betdaq charge 2% on net winnings in a market. If you make a loss on a market, no commission will be charged.
There is a reasonable number of sports available to bet on at Betdaq Exchange although, not as many as you will find at many bookmakers. However, the majority of users will be satisfied with the sports on offer as the main ones are covered.
Aussie Rules
Baseball
Basketball
Boxing
Cricket
F1
Golf
Greyhounds
Horse Racing
Ice Hockey
MMA
NFL
Politics
Rugby
Snooker
Soccer
Specials
Tennis
Virtuals
You’ll also notice that the number of markets available on Betdaq is less than with most bookmakers. Again, this won’t be an issue for most users who stick to the main markets but it’s worth noting that if you prefer slightly more obscure markets such as ‘will there be a corner kick in the next 10 minutes?’ you won’t find them on Betdaq.
In-Play Betting
In-play betting is, of course, available on Betdaq with many traders and regular punters using it heavily throughout sporting events. Similar to pre-match markets, there aren’t as many available as with some bookmakers but still a reasonable amount and you’ll find all pre-match markets are available in-play
The quality of the odds in-play at Betdaq is excellent and are similar to those at other top exchanges and generally a lot better than at bookmakers. As with all popular betting exchanges, in-play odds can move extremely fast due to large wagers being placed which affects the liquidity and the odds.
Live Streaming
Unlike many other betting exchanges, Betdaq offers live streaming for all horse races. Streams can be accessed by selecting a race of your choice and clicking on the ‘Live Video’ button. There are also race replays available and all streams can be watched on both desktop and mobile devices.
Customer Service
Support is available to customers and those considering joining Betdaq via telephone, email and live chat. There is also a comprehensive help section which contains answers to the more frequently asked questions. This can be a great resource for users who are new to betting exchanges and Betdaq as it covers topics such as back & lay bets and commission charges which may be confusing to some at first.
Live chat is available most of the day but even when there are no support agents available, emails are replied to promptly.
Betdaq App
The Betdaq app is available to download for free for both Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store and the App Store. There are separate apps available for both the Betdaq Exchange and the Betdaq Sportsbook. Both apps work extremely well with fast loading pages and easy navigation.
Sports can be found at the top of the app by scrolling side to side or by using the prominent search bar just above. As you’d expect on the Betdaq Exchange app, you can place both back and lay bets. Given that odds on exchange markets fluctuate very quickly, you’d expect the app to perform very fast. Thankfully it does with no lagging between page loads of when placing bets.
If you’re a regular user of Betdaq, then downloading the app is an excellent decision. The Betdaq app allows quick access to your account, thousands of betting markets and everything else you would find on the Betdaq desktop website.
Online Casino
The Betdaq casino is available to all Betdaq customers and is host to around 120 casino games. The majority of the available games are online slots but there are around 10 table games consisting of various versions of roulette, blackjack and 3 Card Brag as well as a small selection of Virtual Sports games.
The Betdaq casino is nothing to get excited about as it doesn’t nearly compare to the offerings at dedicated online casinos. However, it is a nice addition to the service and will satisfy the more casual casino player.
Banking
Betdaq allows customers to deposit and withdraw from their accounts using a variety of methods ranging from credit & debit cards to e-wallets such as PayPal, Neteller and Skrill. See the table below for a full list of available options.

Summary
Betdaq is an excellent choice of betting exchange and one of the best Betfair alternatives. Although you will find more markets and liquidity at Betfair Exchange, it’s a good idea to have an account with more than one exchange for when there are better odds available elsewhere.
We like the addition of the Betdaq sportsbook and the casino, although not extremely impressive, should satisfy the casual player. There are two welcome offers to choose from depending on whether you plan to use the exchange heavily or more casually and you can choose which one you would like to claim by clicking the button below.

“If you use exchanges then it's worth having a Betdaq account along with Betfair, Smarkets, Matchbook etc. Why not? Yeah, there's not as much liquidity as BF but you'll find better odds occasionally.”
