Acca Freeze is one of the newest betting features and is exclusive to customers of Sky Bet. It allows punters to freeze a winning leg of their acca whilst in-play, resulting in that leg being guaranteed to win before the game has finished, even if your selection ends up losing!

Many of us place footy accas on a regular basis and if you have, there will have been times when you’re legs are coming in but you end up losing by the full time whistle.

Sky Bet have given their customers the chance to eliminate the chances of that happening with the addition of AccaFreeze.

What is Acca Freeze?

Acca Freeze is similar to Cash Out or Partial Cash Out except with a little twist. Instead of cashing out your bet to lock in a profit, you’re locking the score of one leg of your acca once it is winning.

Before we get into how to make the most of Acca Freeze, here are a few terms to keep in mind:

1. Acca Freeze is available for Football accumulators only
2. All selections must be from the Match Winner market
3. There must be a minimum of 5 selections in your acca
4. At least one selection must be for a team to win
5. The max stake of your bet is £20 to use Acca Freeze
6. You are allowed a maximum of 5 ‘freezes’ per week

How Acca Freeze Works

Using the Acca Freeze feature on Sky Bet is simple. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get started.

Step 1: Build Your ACCA

Simply build an acca containing a minimum of 5 selections. All of your selections must be on the Match Winner market and include at least one team to win. The others can be draws if you wish. Add all of your selections to your bet slip.

Step 2: Place Your Bet

Place your bet with your desired stake (remembering that there is a max stake of £20 to use Acca Freeze), and then head to the ‘My Bets’ section to track your acca.

Step 3: Track Your ACCA

Once within the ‘My Bets’ section of your Sky Bet account, click to view your acca whilst in-play. Once one of your selected teams goes ahead, you will see an option to freeze that selection in your acca.

Step 4: Freeze A Winning Leg

Depending on how many of your selections are winning, you may see options to freeze several of your legs. Pick which selection you’d like to freeze and confirm once you are sure.

Step 5: View Your ACCA

Once you have frozen a leg of your acca, a blue tick will be shown alongside it. That selection is now locked in for the win and only your remaining selections will determine the outcome of your bet.

Step 6: Collect Your Winnings

If all other legs in your accumulator win, your bet will be paid out, regardless of whether the selection that you froze wins or loses. The great thing about Acca Freeze which makes it different from cash out is that the selection that you froze will be paid out at the same odds as when you placed it! For example, let’s say you bet on Burnley to beat Manchester City at 8/1. Burnley go 1-0 up but end up losing 3-1. So long as you froze that selection when they went ahead, it will remain as an 8/1 winner in your Acca!
