AKBets is a new online betting site that uses the Playbook platform which has also been adopted by other betting sites including Rhino.bet and BetZone.
The brand originally started as an on-course bookmaker back in July 2021 and took over 70,000 trackside bets in their first year. In 2023, AKBets ventured online and is now able to offer betting across dozens of different sports as well as a host of casino games.

Beginning as an on-course bookmaker, AKBets originally only took bets on horse racing. However, customers can now bet on over 20 different sports including Football, Greyhound Racing, Basketball, Tennis, Snooker, Boxing, Cricket and several others. You may find a larger selection of sports to bet on at some of the bigger bookies online but AKBets covers all the main bases and it’s great to see Horse & Greyhound markets for both UK, Ireland and International races.
The range of betting markets for many of the available sports is perfectly acceptable with 100+ betting options for Premier League football matches and other major sporting events.
AKBets is missing some betting features that we’ve become accustomed to at online bookmakers such as Bet Builders, Price Boosts and others. However, in terms of sports betting coverage, we certainly have no complaints with what is on offer.
The prices offered by AKBets are extremely competitive when compared to the likes of William Hill, Bet365, Betfred and other top racing bookies. We found there to be little difference in the prices for Football, Horse Racing, Tennis and other markets.

Unfortunately, Best Odds Guaranteed is not offered by AKBets. This is a disappointment given that the bookmaker specialises in horse racing. BOG is one of the most popular racing promotions and widely available at many online betting sites.

Live Streaming
Live streaming of horse racing or any other sport is not currently available with AKBets. If you are looking to stream sports, we recommend Bet365 who cover hundreds of sporting events each month which can be streamed via their website or app.

Although live chat support isn’t available at the moment for AKBets customers, you can get in touch with their team either via email or Twitter.
Support hours are not listed on the website but the team do seem to be active on Twitter and responding to questions asked.

Summary
AKBets offers a lot for a new betting site. They cover a wide range of sports and have included all the major ones such as Horse Racing, Football, Greyhounds and Tennis. They also offer competitive odds and have an impressive mobile app which is available on all devices.
We would like to see some betting promotions available to customers. Currently, there is no welcome offer and no on-going promotions such as Best Odds Guaranteed, Price Boosts, Money Back Specials or free bet offers.
However, for a new bookmaker that is most likely being rather cautious, it’s understandable to hold back on promotions and we may see some be released as the brand becomes more established.
