However, there are some notable differences with Betmate Fantasy games and most other Fantasy Football games.
Firstly, there is no budget set for putting together your team. This means that you can freely pick any players that you wish.
Also, Fantasy games with Betmate only last for one round of fixtures. Therefore, there is no need for transfers or looking ahead to see which teams are playing one another in weeks time. Only the upcoming round of fixtures matter.
This makes picking your team relatively quick and simple rather than spending hours analysing fixtures and form. It also means that if you have a bad round, you can simply enter another and start from scratch the following week.
Usually, Fantasy games require you to select a team of 11 players with some substitutes. However, with Betmate Fantasy, you only need to pick 7 players.
Points are awarded for various achievements by players but do differ slightly from standard Fantasy Football games. Betmate have reduced the gaps in players being awarded points so that players in various positions have a more equal chance of putting points on the board compared to attacking players who are usually favoured in standard games.
We like that Betmate awards points for tackles and interceptions which may drive users to include more defensive players in their teams.
