Launching in 2017, Stake.com quickly established itself as a big player in the betting world and became the worlds largest cryptocurrency sportsbook and casino. Don’t worry if the term crypto makes your mind boggle as although the ability to gamble using various cryptocurrencies is what originally made Stake.com so successful and helped then attract over half a million customers worldwide, this option is not available to UK users who are limited to betting plain hard cash.
Stake has partnerships with the UFC as well as Premier League club Watford who they were named as the club’s principal shirt sponsor as they returned to the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.
With just over a dozen sports available to bet on, along with various specials and E-sport categories, Stake doesn’t offer the biggest selection of betting options compared to many other bookmakers. However, many of the most popular sports are covered such as Football, Tennis, Cricket, Golf, Darts, Rugby and Basketball and so most UK users should be satisfied with the selection.
One sport that is absent from Stake is Horse Racing which will be a miss for some customers and we will list some recommended racing bookies below.
In terms of betting markets, there is an excellent selection to choose from and this is an area that Stake holds up well in against some of the more established UK bookies. Taking football as an example, as well as all of the main markets that you’d expect to find available such as the Match Winner, Correct Score, Over/Under and HT/FT, there is the option to place Bet Builders and also choose from various Fast Markets.
Fast Markets have become increasingly popular over recent years with many bookmakers now offering them. They allow customers to bet on intervals with some examples being ‘When will the first goal be scored (10 min interval)’ and ‘What will happen in the next 10 minutes 1 – 10’.
We compared the odds on offer at Stake.com to those at bookies such as Bet365, William Hill and Unibet and they held up very well. In fact, there were many selections that had a better price on Stake but overall, we found no major differences either way and so we’re satisfied with the value customers will be getting when betting with Stake.
A full list of available sports can be seen below.

American Football | E-sports | MMA |
Baseball | E-Football | Rugby |
Basketball | Football | Rugby League |

As we mentioned previously, horse racing is not available to bet on at Stake.com UK. If you are wanting to bet on racing then our top recommended bookies are Bet365, Betfred, Paddy Power and William Hill who all cover UK & international racing extensively, offer great odds and have regular racing offers available.

A selection of the top in-play events can be found on the homepage of the website and clicking on the ‘Live’ icon above the list will take you to the live betting section.
Similar to the pre-match odds at Stake, their prices on live events are generally very good and again, we found no major differences to those offered by the bigger bookies.
There is a reasonable number of live betting markets, even for less popular sports and events in lower leagues, including Fast Markets, Player Specials, Combo bets and many others.
For the majority of live events, in-play stats are provided along with past results of each team/player, text commentary and other information.
Unfortunately, live streaming of sports is not currently available at Stake.com.
Bet365 is our recommended bookmaker for streaming sports as they cover a huge range of events throughout each month. You’ll find a list of sporting events that can be streams through your Bet365 account on our live streaming page.
Currently, customer support is only available via email at Stake.com with no live chat option available. However, a postal address is listed as an option if you would prefer to contact the team in writing.
The Stake website states that they aim to respond to email enquiries within 24 hours.
Stake.com Email Address: [email protected]
Stake.com Address: 22A Castle Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2EZ
An app has not yet been launched for the UK Stake.com service but we hope to see one in the near future. However, the Stake website is fully optimised for all mobile devices and accessing the site via a mobile browser gives you access to all areas of the site that you are able to access on desktop.
The mobile website looks great, is fast loading and is very easy to navigate.
Being originally launched as an online casino back in 2017, we had high hopes for the Stake Casino. However, upon visiting, we found only 71 slots available which is far less than what can be found at other casinos online.
However, there is a very good selection of Virtual Sports available to bet on with league standings, team form, H2H and other stats available which are not always found at other betting sites.
Available virtual sports include:
As we mentioned earlier, Stakes main attraction when they launched was that they allowed customers to deposit, wager and withdraw using various cryptocurrencies. However, for UK customers, the options are slightly more limited.
Currently, Stake only allows UK users to deposit and withdraw from their accounts via debit card. We would like to see some of the most popular E-wallet and pre-paid card options available in the near future such as PayPal, Neteller, Skrill and Paysafe Card.
There is a minimum deposit of £10 for debit card deposits and no fee for withdrawing.
Stake is a new betting site to enter the UK market and clearly have strong intentions based on their sponsorship agreements with the UFC and Watford FC. However, given their limited range of sports, poor selection of casino games and lack of banking options, we feel that there are better bookies available to bet with.
We were impressed with the standard of odds available at Stake along with their Virtual Sports betting selection and number of betting markets which are all positives for the brand and something to build on in the future.
