The rules of Dream Catcher are simple and easy to understand. You simply place a bet on the number which you think the wheel will land on.
There are 6 betting options in total which are:
Players can bet on as little or as many of the numbers as they like on each spin. This allows you to cover more of the wheel if you wish.
If you bet on the number which the wheel lands on, you will receive your stake multiplied by that number along with your original stake back.
For example, if you placed a £10 bet on 40 and it came in, you would receive back £410.
If you placed a £10 bet on the number 1 and it came in, you would receive £20 back.
One feature which makes this game exciting is the addition of the ‘Multipliers’.
There are a total of 54 segments on the wheel. 52 of these are made up of the numbers listed above and 2 of them contain multipliers of x2 and x7.
Should the wheel land on a multiplier, the wheel is respun without any additional cost to the players and whichever number it lands on next is paid out at x2 or x7.
For example, if the wheel landed on the x7 multiplier and on the next spin it landed on the number 40, if you had a £10 bet on the number 40, your returns would be £10 x (7 x 40) = £2,800!
This is one of the main attractions to the game as players have the chance to win very large sums with relatively low stakes.
In the table below, we have listed the probability of the wheel landing on each number and the payout should it occur.
Number | Segments | Payout | Probability |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 23 | x1 | 42.6% |
2 | 15 | x2 | 27.78% |
5 | 7 | x5 | 12.96% |
10 | 4 | x10 | 7.41% |
20 | 2 | x20 | 3.70% |
40 | 1 | x40 | 1.85% |
x2 Multipiler | 1 | N/A | 1.85% |
x7 Multiplier | 1 | N/A | 1.85% |
If we take the number 1 for example, which pays out even money, you would expect the probability of the wheel landing on this number to be around 50%. In fact, it’s only 42.6%. The 7.4% gap isn’t entirely the house edge as you have to take into consideration the wheel landing on a multiplier which can boost your returns should the next spin land on your number.
With this in mind, to get an idea of what the best bets are on Dream catcher, you need to look at the overall RTP (Return To Player) for each number.

The following RTPs were calculated based on both the wheel landing on the numbers and the wheel landing on a multiplier and then the numbers. It is also possible for the wheel to land on a multiplier segment several times in a row which was also considered when determining the RTPs below.
Number | RTP (Return To Player) | House Edge |
---|---|---|
1 | 95.41% | 4.59% |
2 | 95.60% | 4.40% |
5 | 91.34% | 8.66% |
10 | 96.70% | 3.30% |
20 | 92.86% | 7.14% |
40 | 90.93% | 9.07% |
As you can see the RTPs and the house edge for each number varies significantly. Therefore, we have determined that some numbers are better to bet on than others and would result in greater returns over time.
Based on the RTP, the best numbers to bet on when playing Dream Catcher are:
Overall, the RTP of Dream Catcher ranges from 90.93% – 96.70% with a combined RTP of 93.81%.
Unfortunately, there is no way to win every time at Dream Catcher as the casino has the edge on each of the numbers. However, now that we know which numbers have the greatest RTP, the best strategy would be to bet on these numbers and avoid the numbers which have a low RTP.
The numbers with the highest RTP are 10, 1 & 2. The RTP of these numbers is significantly greater than the RTP of 5, 20 & 40 which we would advise not to bet on.
So, should you bet on the number 10 every time?
That depends.
If you are looking for long-term value, then betting on the number 10 is a wise choice. However, due to the low 7.41% chance of the wheel landing on a number 10, you could be waiting a long time for it to happen. If your goal is to simply double your money, then betting on either number 1 or number 2 may be a better choice. Betting on these numbers has slightly lower value due to the lower RTP but the variance is also less as those numbers have a much better chance of coming in.
There are a number of online casinos and bookmakers which allow customers to play Dream Catcher. However, surprisingly, many of the top bookies such as Bet365, Betfair and Paddy Power do not offer it.
