For racing taking place at Romford
All eyes on Romford this evening for an ultra-competitive card featuring twelve open races. Catch all the action live on the dedicated Attheraces greyhound website or via the Sky Sports Racing red button from 6.37.
Draws win races and Senahel Sydney (T6) has a cracker to work from in the LGS Vision Recruitment open race at 7.27 over the six-bend 575 metre trip at Romford. The Monmore raider is plotted up as the solo wide seed in the race, if he traps well, he can lead wide and hit the front out of the second bend and skip clear of the chasing pack. Shannas Cove rates as the obvious danger from T2, he was an impressive winner over course and distance on the 29th November and would be a runner granted a clear run. Bacon Frazzles (T5) is a consistent performer and could attract support at the current prices.
7.27 Romford Greyhound Betting Tip – SENAHEL SYDNEY (T6) – 1 Point win @ 5/2 with Coral
A little later on one that should go well is Farneys Maisie who lines up from T4 in the Friday Night 500 Maiden Stayers open race at 8.54. The Kevin Boon trained Suffolk Downs raider caught my eye last week over the 400-metre trip staying on well to the drop, she looks the type who will excel over 575 metres & on six-bend debut this evening she looks a bet at the prices on offer. At lid rise Maisie will be heading towards the rails, it’s imperative that she traps well and avoids an early bump. If Maisie gets on the bunny and grabs the rails, she will prove hard to beat. For second place I’m going to play traps 5 & 6, if Maisie leads round the wide runners could be the value to follow her home.
8.54 Romford Greyhound Betting Tip – FARNEYS MAISIE (T4) – 1 Point win @ 7/4 with Coral
The third and final selection for us this evening is improving youngster Newinn Cloud (T5) in the Coral Essex Vase Trial Stakes open race at 9.46 over the six-bend 575 metre trip. The Mark Wallis trained January 23 son of Newinn Session impressed over course and distance last week recording a 35.29 clock beating Arb Park Ranger who re-opposes this evening from T4. On that occasion Newinn Cloud turned second and showed nice pace throughout before hitting the front out of the fourth bend. Tonight, if Newinn Cloud gets it right at the boxes he should lead round or turn second behind Arb Park Ranger and then it’s race on. Track sponsors Coral go 11/10, I was expecting more like 4/5 so odds-against looks solid value.
