Beverley Racecourse is located in the East Riding of Yorkshire and hosts flat racing throughout the season.
The first grandstand was opened at the course in 1767 at a cost of £1,000. Fast forward a little over 250 years and a £4.8m proposal was submitted to build a new grandstand. However, plans have been put on hold in recent years due to the pandemic.

Beverley racecourse is a right-handed oval-shaped track that is a little over one mile and three furlongs around. The course is mainly flat but does feature a stiff, uphill stint to the finish line along with some tight turns.
There is also a five-furlong track that the Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes is run on and features a slight dog leg to the right with a steady rise throughout.

The Hilary Needer Trophy and the Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes are the two main races that take place at Beverley Racecourse each year.
The Hilary Needler Trophy, introduced in 1965, was previously a Listed race but was downgraded in 2011. It takes place in May/June each year and run over a distance of 5 furlongs.
The Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes is a Listed flat race that was established in 2004. It’s scheduled to take place in late August/early September and also run over 5 furlongs.
