Both flat and jumps races take place throughout the year at Doncaster with the course being flat, left-handed, pear-shaped and considered to be one of the fairest in the country.
The flat course hosts the first and last turf race meets of the flat season and is 1 mile 7½ furlongs around but also has a straight mile course which the Lincoln Handicap uses in March.
The course is essentially flat with the exception of Rose Hill which is a climb and descent along the back straight.
Although the ground can sometimes be rather testing, the fences on the jumps course are relatively easy. The course is again flat with sweeping bends and known to be fair.
