Kempton Park has two courses, one floodlit all-weather track and one turfed jumps course.
The National Hunt course is a right-handed triangular circuit that is relatively flat and around 1 mile and 5 furlongs in distance. It’s host to some of the biggest races at Kempton Park throughout the year including the King George VI Chase on Boxing Day.
Opening in 2006, the Kempton all-weather track is used for flat races from March through to November. It is a right-handed oval-shaped floodlit course that depending on whether the inner or outer bend is used, is either 8 or 10 furlongs.
The surface is Polytrack which is similar to Tapeta and one of the most popular all-weather racing surfaces that is relatively fast and fair to horses.
