The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a huge surge, with Bitcoin and other digital assets reaching values never seen before. Bitcoin is close to surpassing $98,000,…
If you bet on horse racing, there’s two things you probably already know. First, it’s much easier to back a horse to place than to win. And second, putting a few strong bets together in an accumulator can make a massive difference to your winnings. So when you combine the two, a place only accumulator seems like a great idea.
The trouble is, not all online bookmakers allows this type of bet. But we know which ones do. So in this article, we’ll show you which bookies allow place only accumulators. We’ll also show you exactly how to create one, step by step. Sounds good? So let’s get started….

You can do a place only accumulator at any of the bookies listed above. For your convenience, we have also listed their sign up bonus which you will receive if you open a new account. You might also want to check out the bookmaker reviews left by our community when deciding which one to join.
You’ll notice that only a handful of bookmakers are listed. This is because only the very best horse racing bookies actually allow place only single bets at all. Therefore, if there are no single bets available, you can’t make them into an acca. But not to worry, because the sites shown above all have place only single markets on all UK & Irish racing, and there are more than enough to choose from.
So now that you know which bookies do place only accumulators, let’s look at how you create one. In this example, we’ll be creating a place only acca at Betfair. However, the process will be the same or very similar at any of the bookmakers listed above.

You need to have opened an account with bet365, Betfair or any of the other sites listed above before you start. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up. Then log into your account and follow this step by step guide.
First you need to navigate to the horse racing section on your chosen bookmaker’s website.
At Betfair, you do the following:
Each of these steps is highlighted by a red arrow on the diagram above.
Now we need to choose which bets we want to add to our acca. For the purposes of this example, we’re just going to choose the 4th favourite in each race. There is no particular reason for that, and it is not a system we personally follow – it’s purely for demonstration purposes.
You’ll notice that in this race, Betfair gives us the opportunity of betting on 3 Places (horse to finish top 3) or 2 Places (top 2). Betting on 2 Places would give us better odds, but is less likely to happen. For demonstration purposes, we’ll choose 3 Places.
By clicking the button (shown by the red arrow above) we add a “to place” bet on the 4th favourite, Dubai Acclaim, to our bet slip. This is shown on the right of the screen.
So far so good. But of course, if we’re creating an accumulator, we need more than one selection. So let’s move on to the next race.
Using the tabs shown in Step 1, we’re now looking at the 16.10 at Kempton. Of course, we need to do this before the previous race has started, otherwise the bet we already added will no longer be valid.
In this race, we’ll again choose the 4th horse in the betting, Mr Gent. By clicking the button highlighted by the red arrow in the above diagram, we add this selection to our bet slip.
Notice that now, as well as the two single bets, the slip now shows a section called Multiples. This shows us an option to bet on a double, which of course is the simplest type of accumulator.
But in this example, we’re going to add one more selection to our place only accumulator. So let’s look at the next race.
Again, using the tabs shown in Step 1, we’re now looking at the 16.40 race. As before, we need to do this before the first race, the 15.40, has started.
This time we will again choose the 4th horse, Sovereign Duke. By clicking the button highlighted by the red arrow, we add a place only bet on this horse to our accumulator bet slip.
Now the Multiples section of the bet slip also gives us an option for the Treble.
If we wanted, we could repeat this process and add more selections to the place only accumulator in exactly the same way. But for now, let’s just keep things simple and bet on the treble.
The bet slip shows that the combined odds of our three selections is 16.32, which is 15.32/1. Therefore a stake of £10 would return a very healthy £163.20 if all of these horses finish in the top 3 of their respective races.
As you can see, it’s quick and easy to create a place only accumulator. You can even stream live horse races that you bet on. The advantage is that they have a much better chance of winning than a win accumulator, because your horse doesn’t need to win the race in order for your bet to come in. However, by combining these place bets, you can still get some very decent returns from small stakes.
The down side is that not every bookmaker allows place only accumulators. However, we’ve shown you a list of those that do. So by signing up at any of the bookies listed at the top of the page, you can quickly and easily get started today. As always, we wish you every success.
