It’s match day 3 in the Vanarama National League North and the Heed make the 434 mile round trip to face AFC Telford United this Saturday.

Assistant manager Ian Watson is hoping Gateshead can carry on as they’ve started away from home. “Last season we didn’t start great on the road and then we picked up towards the back end of the season.
“This year we don’t want that to be the case, we want to be a good side away from home that is going to pick up points.
“It’s our first long trip but we don’t want that to affect us too much, we just want to turn up, be professional on the day, take what we’ve learned this week and put it into practice on Saturday to get a result.”
