Reds surge to Title Victory
It’s been a remarkable season for Liverpool and one that perhaps betters the title win of 1989-90, with the club finishing a staggering 18 points clear of 2nd place, having lost just three games.
It’s a season that has cemented the likes of Jordan Henderson, Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk in the history books, joining famous names such as John Barnes, Ian Rush and Peter Beardsley as English football champions.
Jurgen Klopp has worked wonders with his side and will no doubt be spoken of in the same breath as Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly and Kenny Dalglish in years to come.
It was Dalglish who handed over the title to Klopp during the presentation, a man who really has won it all and he has been particularly complimentary about this new generation of champions.
However, we don’t want to know about this season’s champions. In order to be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize we’re asking fans to look back to that last title win three decades ago and answer this very simple question…
Who was the Liverpool manager when the club won the league title in 1989-90?
Bob Paisley
Graeme Souness
Kenny Dalglish
Roy Evans
