Best Odds Guaranteed is the one offer that no serious horse racing punter would be without. But amazingly, not all online bookies are offering it.
So if you’re a horse racing punter choosing which bookie to bet with, you need to know whether Sky Bet offer best odds guaranteed, and also which races it covers.
It sometimes gets lost among all their other offers, but the good news is that yes, Sky Bet do Best Odds Guaranteed. However, it’s not available to all customers anymore and became part of the Sky Bet Rewards scheme in January 2024.
As mentioned, Sky Bet removed their Best Odds Guaranteed offer, which was previously available to all customers. It’s still available, but only if you have qualified for the Sky Bet Club the week prior.
So, how to you do that?
In order to qualify for the Sky Bet Club rewards, you must opt-in and have placed £30 or more throughout the week Monday – Sunday).
Bets then placed on eligible horse races will be eligible for Best odds Guaranteed.
Along with being eligible for BOG, by qualifying for the Sky Bet Club, you’ll also receive several other rewards including exclusive price boosts, free premium betting tips, free bets, and more.
Best Odds Guaranteed is one of the most popular betting offers and is designed to make sure you get the best possible price on your horse racing and greyhound bets.
When you bet on any UK or Irish horse race, or any greyhound race, you can often get better odds by taking an early price. However, sometimes this doesn’t work out and the SP (starting price) can be bigger than the price you took. This can be slightly frustrating when it happens but if it does, Sky Bet has your back as they will pay you out at whichever price is higher should your selection win.
Let’s take a look at an example of how Sky Bet’s Best Odds Guaranteed for horse racing can result in more profit on your winning selections.
So, we fancy backing ‘Quick Charlie’ in the 4pm at Lingfield and place a £10 bet on the horse at odds of 3/1 at 10am. The race starts and Sky Bet are now offering odds of 6/1 on our horse! We’re a little bit disappointed that we could have gotten better odds if we waited but we remember that Sky Bet offer Best Odds Guaranteed! Because Best Odds Guaranteed is available, should Quick Charlie win the race, Sky Bet will settle our bet at the higher odds of 6/1 rather than the 3/1 price we originally took!
Good question. If the price you took is greater than the starting price, your bet will be paid out at the original odds. Basically, should your selection win, your bet will be settled at either the odds you took or the starting price – whichever one is higher.
Best Odds Guaranteed at Sky Bet does not apply to international racing (unless stated otherwise), ante-post betting, tote bets, enhanced accumulators or any other specials which includes any SkyBet Price Boosts that may be available on racing markets.
Yes. You must first opt into the Sky Bet Club and qualify by placing £30 worth of bets from Monday to Sunday. Then, the following week, simply place your bets and if your selection wins and the SP is greater than the price you took, your bet will be settled at the higher odds.
Yes. Bets which qualify for Best Odds Guaranteed will still count towards the qualification of the Sky Bet Club. However, please note that the price you took will apply and not the starting price. The minimum odds for bets to contribute towards the bet club are evens (2.0) and so if you backed a horse at 1/2 (1.5) and due to Best Odds Guaranteed, your bet was settled at 2/1 (3.0), this bet would not contribute towards the Sky Bet Club as the original odds were below 2.0.
Best Odds Guaranteed at Sky Bet applies to selected races at UK & Irish racecourses. Sky Bet live streaming is also available for all of these races. You’ll find that Best Odds Guaranteed may not be available for races that Sky Bet are offering extra places on.
If you take a price which is then subject to a Rule 4 deduction, the deduction will be applied unless the horse returns at a bigger SP. In this case, your bet will return at the SP price without a Rule 4 deduction.
The maximum increase per bet or per race as a result of the Best Odds Guaranteed offer is capped at £50,000 for horse racing and £10,000 for greyhound racing. This is the additional amount you receive compared to what your returns would have been at the price you took. It is not the maximum returns on your bet.
